Occasionally a campaign can become stale. Players begin to lose interest in their characters. Should something like this occur a player, weeks before their turn to game master, may suggest a diversion game or themed module. Part of their suggestion will be a brief overview of what players need to bring to the table and what will be transpiring during the module. One of the more well known examples of such a module is We Be Goblins. The suggestion is made the group votes as to whether or not they would also like a diversion. Should the motion pass the next module will be a themed module. Another option should a player wish to run a themed module is that it may be ran on days when we are not already meeting with this group.
B-Team modules will be played for no credit and at no risk to player characters in the overarching campaign. As they will be played with either pre-assigned or newly built characters. The diversion will continue until the conclusion of the module and we will return to the campaign.
